Working with clay is a memorable experience for all kids. This project is great for all ages. This is also an important opportunity to teach kids about building techniques with clay.

A few of our grade one faces

Whenever a piece of clay is added it should be supported from the other side. Each piece should be scored with light scratches from the clay needle and slip should be added.

The clay is supported from under because a new piece is being pushed down to attach from above.

Big ears, horns, eyes, noses and all many of teeth and tongues can be created and added. Just remember-they will fall off if you do not score the clay and add slip.
